NBA Playoffs: Heat, Spurs Complete Sweeps And Advance; Celtics Stay Alive With OT Win; Warriors One Win Away From Eliminating Nuggets

The National Basketball Association Playoffs continued on Sunday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Boston:

Paul Pierce scored 29 points while Jeff Green added 26 and Jason Terry 18 as the Boston Celtics avoided elimination with a 97-90 overtime home win over the New York Knicks in game four of their conference quarterfinal series.  The Knicks, whose Carmelo Anthony scored 36 points and Raymond Felton added 27, still can wrap up the series with a home win in game five back in New York on Wednesday night.

At Milwaukee:

LeBron James scored 30 points as the Miami Heat completed a four-game sweep of their opening-round series with the Milwaukee Bucks with a 88-77 road win in game four.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Los Angeles:

Tony Parker scored 23 points as the San Antonio Spurs completed a four-game sweep of their conference quarterfinal series with the  Los Angeles Lakers as they took game four 103-82 on the road.  It was the first opening-round playoff exit for the Lakers since 2007.

At Oakland:

Stephen Curry scored 22 of his 31 points in the third quarter as the Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets 115-101 in game four of their opening round series.  The Warriors, who now lead three games to one, can finish off the Nuggets with a game-five victory at Denver on Tuesday night.
