ROLL TIDE: 'BAMA DOMINATES NOTRE DAME TO REPEAT AS BCS CHAMPS; THIRD TITLE IN FOUR YEARS

At Miami Gardens, Florida:

Running back Eddie Lacy (Offensive Most Valuable Player) ran for 140 yards and a touchdown and he caught a pass for another score while T.J. Yeldon ran for 108 yards and another score as the Alabama Crimson Tide (#2 in the BCS standings, Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 13-1) won their second straight Bowl Championship Series national title game and their third in the last four years with a 42-14 domination of the previously-undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish (#1 in all three previously mentioned rankings; 12-1) on Monday. 

The title was Alabama's 10th since the beginning of the newswire poll era in 1936.
