NFL Playoffs: Texans, Packers Get Home Wins; Get Pats, Niners, Respectively

The National Football League playoffs commenced on Saturday with two games.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:

At Houston:

Arian Foster carried the ball 32 times for 140 yards and a touchdown (a one-yarder) while Shayne Graham made four field goals against his former club as the Houston Texans outlasted the visiting Cincinnati Bengals 19-13 in their opening round contest.

The Texans will visit the New England Patriots in an AFC divisional playoff next Sunday at Foxborough, Massachusetts.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL CONFERENCE:

At Green Bay, Wisconsin:

John Kuhn scored two touchdowns (a three-yard run and a nine-yard catch) and DuJuan Harris ran for another (nine yards) as the Green Bay Packers overpowered the visiting Minnesota Vikings 24-10 in an NFC opening-round contest.

The Packers will visit the San Francisco 49ers next Saturday night for a divisional playoff.
