Time For A Charlie Chan Movie

Here is the first of six films starring Roland Winters (who succeeded the recently-deceased Sidney Toler) as Charlie Chan in the 1947 Monogram Pictures movie "The Chinese Ring."  In this one, a mysterious Chinese woman visits Charlie's house and is shortly afterward murdered there.  The only clues are the ring with which she introduced herself, and the message "Capt. K" shortly before she kicked the bucket.  Warren Douglas, Mantan Moreland, and Victor Sen Yung co-star.

With original screenplay by W. Scott Darling, based upon the character created by Earl Derr Biggers, photography by William Sickner (ASC), and music by Edward J. Kay, this motion picture was produced by James S. Burkett and directed by William Beaudine.

Enjoy!
