At Boston:

Kevin Garnett scored 28 points and pulled in 14 rebounds as the Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Atlanta Hawks 83-80 in game six to win their opening-round series four games to two.  KG and his friends will open up their conference semifinal series with the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Saturday.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Denver:

Ty Lawson scored 32 points while Corey Brewer contributed 18 as the Denver Nuggets dominated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 113-96 to square their conference quarterfinal series at three games apiece (despite 31 points from the Lakers' Kobe Bryant, sour stomach and all) with the seventh and deciding game to be played in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
