NBA Playoffs: Clippers Hold Off Grizzlies Rally To Get Shot At Spurs; Heat Top Pacers In Series Opener

Two games were played in the NBA Playoffs on Sunday.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Memphis:


Chris Paul scored 19 points while Nick Young added 13 (nine of them coming off the bench in the fourth quarter) and Kenyon Martin added 11 (seven of them in the fourth quarter) as the Los Angeles Clippers held off the Memphis Grizzlies 82-72 on the road in the seventh and deciding game of their conference quarterfinal series, enabling the Clippers to pick up only the third playoff series victory in their 42-year, three-city history, four games to three.  Los Angeles will open up their conference semifinal series with the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night on the road.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Miami:


A 32-point, 15-rebound performance from LeBron James carried the Miami Heat to a 95-86 home win over the Indiana Pacers in the opening game of their conference semifinal series.
