Stanley Cup Playoffs: OT Goal Gives Devils 2-1 Series Lead Over Flyers; Kings One Win Away From Ousting Blues

The Stanley Cup Playoff resumed with two games on Thursday.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Newark, New Jersey:


Alexei Ponikarovsky scored the winning goal at 17:21 of overtime as the New Jersey Devils defeated the visiting Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in game three of their conference semifinal series and have taken a two-games-to-one advantage.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Los Angeles:


Goals from Justin Williams, Dwight King, Mike Richards (power play) and Drew Doughty lifted the Los Angeles Kings to a 4-2 game-three home win over the St. Louis Blues.  The Kings, who lead their conference semifinal series three games to none, can complete a four-game sweep with a victory on Sunday at home.
