Pacers Stun Vandy At Buzzer; BYU Over Gators In 2OT Thriller; K-State and Butler Also Advance

Thursday marked the first full day of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

WEST REGION:

At Oklahoma City:

Jimmer Fredette scored 37 points as #7-seeded BYU defeated #10 Florida 99-92 in double overtime.

Kansas State (seeded #2) overpowered #15 Texas State 82-62. Denis Clemente had 17 points and 6 assists for the victorious Wildcats.

At San Jose, California:

Danero Thomas connected on a 15-footer at the buzzer as #13-seeded Murray State knocked off #4 Vanderbilt 66-65.

Fifth-seeded Butler topped #12 UTEP 77-59. Shelvin Mack scored a career high-tying 25 points for the Bulldogs.
