The West Region of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament had its' semifinal round on Thursday.
At Salt Lake City, Utah:
Gordon Hayward scored 17 points as #5 Butler reached the Elite Eight for the first time ever with a 63-59 win over top-seeded Syracuse.
Jordan Crawford scored 32 points and Jason Love grabbed 15 rebounds as #2 Kansas State outlasted #6 Xavier 101-96 in double overtime to reach the Elite Eight for the first time since 1988.
