Arthur Rankin, Jr., Animation Producer/Director, R.I.P.
Arthur Rankin, Jr., who along with Jules Bass, produced and directed numerous classic and even iconic Christmas and Easter holiday animated televsion specials such as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Frosty the Snowman," "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," "The Little Drummer Boy," and many others, passed away on Thursday at his home in Harrington Sound, Bermuda, at age 89 following a bout of illness.

Following their Sunday Civil War defeat at Oregon State---their fourth in a row---The Oregon Ducks lost all remaining support in the Associated Press poll while they still have some support in the USA Today/Coaches poll, where they would be ranked #32.
