Ducks Stay #2 In Both Polls (#3 In BCS Rankings); Beavers Climb Up To #8 (Media, BCS Rankings) And #11 (Coaches)

Despite being idle this week, the Oregon Ducks remained ranked #2 in the latest Associated Press (media) and USA Today/Coaches polls that were released on Sunday.

Meanwhile, coming off their road win over BYU, the Oregon State Beavers climbed up to #8 in the AP poll and #11 in the Coaches' rankings.

In the first Bowl Championship Series ranking of the season, also having come out on Sunday, the Ducks are ranked third behind top-ranked Alabama and Florida, while the Beavers are at #8.  Kansas State and Notre Dame rounded out the top five.

Ducks Hold Steady At #4 In Both Polls; Beavers Garner Support After Knocking Off Wisconsin

After coasting to another home win over the weekend, this time against Fresno State, the Oregon Ducks remained at #4 in both the Associated Press (media) and USA Today/Coaches (in which they received one first-place vote) polls that were released on Sunday. 

Following their upset win at home over Wisconsin this past Saturday, the Oregon State Beavers received support in both polls.  OSU would be ranked #29 in the AP poll while the Beavers would be ranked #34 in the Coaches poll.

Following their 57-37 season-opening home win over Arkasas State, the Oregon Ducks climbed up a spot to #4 in both the Associated Press (media) and USA Today/Coaches polls.

In the aftermath of their Civil War thrashing of Oregon State, the Oregon Ducks moved up one spot in the latest Bowl Championship Series rankings to #9.  They also moved up a spot, to #8 in the Associated Press media poll, while moving up two places to #7 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings.


As for the Beavers, they dropped down slightly to a tie for 87th place with Washington State.

Following the Saturday night home defeat to USC, the Oregon Ducks dropped six places to #10 in the latest Bowl Championship Series rankings, released on Sunday.  The Ducks drop five places to #9 in both the media and coaches polls.


The top three BCS spots are occupied by schools from the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference, LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas.


After their Saturday home win over Washington, the Oregon State Beavers climbed up to #87 in the BCS rankings.

After dropping a road decision to California, the Oregon State Beavers fall from #99 to a tie for #101 with Fresno State in the BCS rankings.

The Ducks find themselves ranked sixth in both the Associated Press media and USA Today/Coaches polls, up a spot from last week in both polls.


After becoming Utah's first Pac-12 conference victims, the Oregon State Beavers drop five places in the BCS rankings to #100.

The first Bowl Championship Series rankings were released on Sunday and the Oregon Ducks (ranked #9 in the Associated Press media poll [same as last week] and #8 in the USA Today/Coaches poll [up one spot]) were ranked #10. Louisiana State University is ranked #1, followed by Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Boise State, Wisconsin, Clemson, Stanford, Arkansas, and the Ducks.


Out of the 120 Football Bowl Subdivision teams, the Oregon State Beavers were tied with New Mexico State for 103rd place.

In the latest Bowl Championship Series rankings released on Sunday, Auburn and Oregon exchanged spots in the new rankings with the Tigers now ranked #1 and the Ducks, who still top the AP and USA Today/Coaches polls,  #2.

TCU, Stanford, and Wisconsin rounded up the top five in the BCS standings.

The Oregon Ducks remained on top of the Bowl Championship Series rankings as of Sunday, with Auburn, TCU, Boise State, and Louisiana State still rounding out the top five.

The Ducks continued to top both the Associated Press (media) and USA Today/Coaches' Polls.  Oregon State, after their surprise beatdown of USC, did get a vote in the AP Poll.  They would be tied for 36th place.

The Oregon Ducks, following their tough road win over California remained atop the Bowl Championship Series rankings which came out on Sunday with Auburn, TCU, Boise State, and LSU rounding out the top five.  The Ducks still topped the Associated Press media poll, garnering 38 of a possible 60 first-place votes and the USA Today/Coaches poll, garnering 46 of a possible 59 first-place votes.

Following their Saturday beatdown of Washington, Oregon (by .9638 to .9611 over Auburn) maintained their #1 ranking in the Bowl Championship Series standings that were released on Sunday.

Auburn is ranked second, followed by Texas Christian University, Boise State, then Louisiana State University.

The Ducks remained atop the Associated Press media poll (with 49 of a possible 60 first-place votes) and USA Today/Coaches Poll (with 50 of a possible 61 first-place votes).

What support Oregon State had in the AP poll evaporated following their tough setback at UCLA. 

Ducks Take Over Top Spot In BCS Standings (Oregon Still Tops AP and USA Today/Coaches Polls)

In the aftermath of their Saturday win over USC, the Oregon Ducks overtook Auburn (who defeated Ole Miss on the road) to become the new number one team in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings that were released on Sunday.  The Ducks remain atop both the Associated Press (media) and USA Today/Coaches polls as well, with first place votes totaling 49 (of 60) and 51 (of 59) respectively.


As for Oregon State, after their home beatdown of California, the Beavers edged closer to returning to the AP's top 25 rankings with enough support in which they would be ranked #28.
