Ducks Nosedive In Gridiron Polls After Civil War Upset; Beavers Get Support In AP Rankings

 In the wake of their Friday Civil War upset at the hands of Oregon State, the Oregon Ducks dropped 12 spots to #21 in the Associated Press college football poll released on Sunday.


The Ducks fell nine spots to #20 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches poll.


As for the Beavers, they received support in the AP poll, where Oregon State would be ranked #36.

Ducks Climb Up Two Spots In Both Gridiron Polls

After winning their home nailbiter against UCLA on Saturday, the Oregon Ducks climbed up two spots to #9 in the Associated Press college football poll released on Sunday. 


The Ducks also moved up two spots in the USA Today/Amway Coaches poll to #11.

Gridiron News:

The Oregon Ducks, fresh from their Saturday victory over Washington State, dropped a spot to #13 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches college football poll released on Sunday.


The Ducks remained level at #11 in the Associated Press poll, also released on Sunday.


Still no support in either poll for the now 0-2 Oregon State Beavers.

Gridiron News: Ducks Climb Up Two Spots In Coaches Poll; Up One In AP Rankings

 In the wake of their Saturday season-opening triumph over visiting Stanford, the Oregon Ducks climbed up two spots to #12 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches college football poll released on Sunday.


The Ducks climbed up a spot to #11 in the Associated Press poll.


After their home setback against Washington State, there was no support for the Oregon State Beavers in either poll.

College Gridiron: Ducks Climb Up A Spot In Coaches' Poll; Up Two In AP Rankings.

 With their season opener against Stanford at home coming up next Saturday, the Oregon Ducks still climbed up a spot to #15 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches college football poll that was released on Sunday.


In the Associated Press poll, also released on Sunday, the Ducks actually climbed up two spots to #12.


The Oregon State Beavers (who host Washington State this coming Saturday to open their gridiron campaign) received no support in either poll.

Mixed Bag For Ducks In Gridiron Polls

 With their first regular-season game three weeks away, the Oregon Ducks dropped a spot (to #13) in the Associated Press college football poll while picking up a spot (to #15) in the USA Today/Amway Coaches rankings.


Again, no support in either poll for the Oregon State Beavers.

Ducks Stay At #12 In AP Gridiron Poll; Climb Up To #16 In Coaches Rankings

 The Oregon Ducks, still awaiting their first game of the college football season, remained at #12 in the Associated Press poll that was released on Sunday.

The Ducks climbed up a spot in the USA Today/Amway Coaches poll, also released on Sunday, to #16.


Again, the Oregon State Beavers were bereft of support in both polls.

Ducks Are #12 In AP Gridiron Poll; #17 In Coaches Rankings

 The Oregon Ducks, whose season doesn't start until November, climbed up two spots in the Associate Press college football poll to #12 while returning to the USA Today/Amway Coaches rankings at #17.


Both polls were released on Sunday.


No support for the Oregon State Beavers in either poll.

Ducks Return To AP Gridiron Poll

 After the Pac-12's vote last week to play football this fall, the Oregon Ducks returned to the Associated Press college football poll at #14 on Sunday.


No Pac-12 clubs were eligible for inclusion in the USA Today/Amway Coaches poll.

Ducks Finish In AP Gridiron Poll's Top Five

In the final Associated Press college football poll taken on Tuesday, the Oregon Ducks finished in the #5 position.

LSU, who won the national title on Monday, of course, finished at the top of the poll with Clemson second, Ohio State third, and Georgia fourth.

Utah was the only other Pac-12 school in the AP poll, finishing 16th.

Following their upset road defeat at the hands of Arizona State, the Oregon Ducks fell eight spots to #14 in the latest Associated Press college football poll released on Sunday.

The Ducks dropped seven places to #13 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches poll, also released on Sunday.

Ducks Rank 11th In AP Pre-Season Gridiron Poll; 13th In Coaches Rankings

The Oregon Ducks were ranked #11 in the Associated Press pre-season poll that was released on Monday.

The Ducks were the highest-ranked Pac-12 school in this poll (led by defending national champions Clemson, followed by Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State in the top five).

Other Pac-12 Conference schools:  Washington (#13), Utah (#14), Washington State (#23)

Support was also given to Arizona, Arizona State, and Southern California.

Meanwhile, the Ducks were ranked #13 in the USA Today/Amway-Coaches poll that was released back on August 1 (Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State are in the top five there).

No support for the Oregon State Beavers in either poll.

Ducks Regain A Measure Of Support In Both Gridiron Polls

Following their Friday Civil Was dismantling of Oregon State, the Oregon Ducks received some support in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Amway/Coaches college football polls.

The Ducks would be ranked in a three-way tie with Appalachian State and Buffalo at #32 in the former and tied for #35 with Stanford and Buffalo in the latter.
