Quarterback Erik Meyer completed 29 of 40 passes for 353 yards and six touchdowns, two of them to Adron Terrell as the Spokane Shock (6-3) extended the visiting New Orleans VooDoo's (1-7) losing streak to seven games 65-54 in the lone Friday night Arena Football League contest.

At Des Moines, Iowa:

On Saturday, the Iowa Barnstormers (4-4) handed the visiting New Orleans VooDoo (1-6) their sixth consecutive Arena Football League defeat, 62-16.  Wide receiver Jesse Schmidt caught six passes for 67 yards and three touchdowns for the Barnstormers, who picked up their first home win of the season.

The struggling, punchless VooDoo will visit the Spokane Shock (6-2) for a Friday night contest.

Quarterback Adrian McPherson completed 13 of 16 passes on Saturday night for 197 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions as the Tampa Bay Storm (5-2) handed the visiting New Orleans VooDoo (1-5) their fifth consecutive Arena Football League defeat, 63-32.

In the first Arena Football League game to be played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome since July 25, 1992, quarterback Russ Michna completed 23 of 35 passes for 312 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception as the San Jose SaberCats (3-2) handed the home-standing New Orleans VooDoo (1-4) their fourth straight defeat, 57-38.  The game was played in front of 4, 357 fans.

Quarterback Jordan Jefferson (formerly of Louisiana State) completed 19 of 30 passes for five touchdowns and no interceptions as the Pittsburgh Power (1-3) picked up their first Arena Football League victory of the season Friday night, 46-43 on the road over the New Orleans VooDoo (1-3).

At Jacksonville, Florida:

Fullback Rendrick Taylor ran for four touchdowns while Terrance Smith return an interception 51 yards for another score as the Jacksonville Sharks (4-0), in their home opener on Friday, scored the first 35 points en route to a 76-30 demolition of the visiting New Orleans VooDoo (1-2) in Arena Football League action.  Jeff Hughley scored the first three touchdowns for the unbeaten Sharks.

Quarterback Bryant Moniz ran for his third touchdown of the game late in the fourth quarter as the Georgia Force (9-9) overcame an early deficit to knock off the New Orleans VooDoo (8-10) 55-48 on the road in the Arena Football League regular-season finale for both teams to nail down an American Conference playoff berth on Saturday.  Despite their third straight defeat, the VooDoo also clinched a playoff berth thanks to Tampa Bay's 63-53 defeat at Spokane.
