Here's a 1958 commercial for Post Alpha-Bits Cereal, starring Ruff and Reddy, the first characters to emerge from Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera's recently-minuted television cartoon studio.  Ruff the Cat and the evil Mr. X are voiced here by Don Messick and Reddy the Dog is voiced by Daws Butler.  General Foods sponsored The Ruff and Reddy Show on NBC on Saturday mornings from 1957 to 1960.

From 1958, originally seen as a segment on the syndicated Huckleberry Hound show, here are Dixie and Pixie with Mr. Jinks the Cat in "Judo Jack." 



This was one of the earliest cartoons in the series and was produced and directed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera at their cartoon studio in Los Angeles.

Time For A Visit With Yogi

Here is a Yogi Bear cartoon, from Hanna-Barbera Productions, entitled "Papa Yogi." This first aired in 1959 as a segment on the syndicated Huckleberry Hound Show. Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera produced and directed this cartoon









Yogi did not get his own show until 1961.
