NBA Playoffs: Knicks Complete Sweep Of Sixers, Advance To East Final; Wolves Even Series With Spurs

The NBA Playoffs resumed on Sunday with two games. 


EASTERN CONFERENCE: 


At Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia: Miles McBride scored 25 points while Jalen Brunson added 22 as all five starters scored in double-digits as the New York Knickerbockers competed a four-game sweep of their conference semifinal series by manhandling the host Philadelphia 76ers 144-114.  


Next up for the Knicks, the Eastern Conference Final against the winner of the Detroit-Cleveland series (which Detroit leads two games to one).  Opening date, time, and network and/or streaming service to be determined.


WESTERN CONFERENCE: 


At Target Center, Minneapolis: 


Anthony Edwards scored 36 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs 114-109 to square their conference semifinal series at two games apiece.  Six Wolves, including all five starters, scored in double-figures.  


As for San Antonio, D'Aaron Fox and Dylan Harper (off the bench) each scored 24 points while Stephon Castle added 20. Meanwhile, Victor Yembanyama was ejected for the first time in his NBA career in the second quarter for elbowing Minnesota's Naz Reid.
