Beavers Fall Again As Cal Bears Ruin Sean Mannion's Record-Breaking Night

At Corvallis:

The California Golden Bears (5-4 overall, 3-4 in Pac-12 play) handed the Oregon State Beavers (4-4, 1-4) their third successive defeat on Saturday night 45-31 on the road.  Quarterback Jared Goff threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Chris Harper for the go-ahead score with 8:42 remaining while running back Daniel Lasco carried the ball 30 times for a career-high 188 yards and three touchdowns (14, 21, 15 yards) as the Bears snapped a three-game losing streak.

The defeat ruined the night for Beavers' quarterback Sean Mannion, who completed 30 of 45 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns to become the Pacific-12 Conference's all-time career leader in passing yards.
