Here's a late 1950s commercial for Pall Mall Cigarettes with Lee Marvin, who starred in the TV series M Squad at the time.
The series was sponsored by American Tobacco Company, which made Pall Mall (as well as Lucky Strike), and Lee was there to promote the product.
