NBA Playoffs: Grizzlies One Win Away From Eliminating Spurs; No Comeback For Blazers This Time As Dallas Takes 3-2 Series Lead; Nuggets Old Off OKC To Avoid Sweep

Three games were played on Monday as the first round of the NBA Playoffs continued, with all the action taking place in the Western Conference.

At Memphis:

The Memphis Grizzlies outscored the San Antonio Spurs 30-15 in the third quarter en route to a 104-86 game-four home win over the San Antonio Spurs to take a three-games-to-one lead in their conference quarterfinal series.  Mike Conley scored 15 point to lead the Grizzlies' balanced scoring attack.  Darrell Arthur added 14, Tony Allen 12, and 11 points apiece were scored by Zack Randolph and O. J. Mayo.  The Grizzlies can wrap up their first-ever playoff series triumph with a win at San Antonio on Wednesday.

At Dallas:

Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points while Tyson Chandler pulled down 20 rebounds to go with his 14 points as the Dallas Mavericks recovered from their Saturday meltdown to take a three-games-to-two lead in their first-round series following a 93-82 home win in game five over the Portland Trail Blazers.  The Mavericks can close out the series with a win on Thursday night in Portland.

At Denver:

Ty Lawson scored a career playoff-high 27 points as the Denver Nuggets avoided elimination by holding off the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 104-101 in game five in their opening-round series.  The Thunder still lead three games to one and can close out the series at home on Wednesday night.
