NCAA Tournament: UNC-Asheville (in OT), Clemson Take Opening Contests

Two games were played on Tuesday at Dayton, Ohio as the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament commenced.

In the opener, Matt Dickey scored 22 points, while J. P. Primm hit five free throws plus a decisive steal in the final seconds of overtime as UNC-Asheville defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 81-77.  The Bulldogs will face Pittsburgh, the Southeast Region's top seed on Thursday at Washington, DC.

In the nightcap, Jerai Grant scored a career-high 22 rebounds and added 7 rebounds as Clemson dominated their contest with Alabama-Birmingham from start to finish, manhandling the Blazers 70-52.  The Tigers will face fifth-seeded (East Region) West Virginia at Tampa, Florida on Thursday
