NCAA Southwest: Morehead State Shocks Louisville; Richmond Knocks Off Vandy

Sixteen games were played on Thursday as the second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament commence, with two played in the Southwest Region, both at Denver.


In the opening of two games at the Pepsi Center, Demonte Harper hit the game-winning three-point basket with 4.2 seconds remaing, while Terrance Hill scored 23 points while Kenneth Faried pulled in 17 rebounds as 13th-seeded Morehead State stunned fourth-seeded Louisville 62-61.  It was the first tournament win for the Eagles since 1984.


In the second game, Kevin Anderson scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half as 12th-seeded Richmond knocked off fifth-seeded Vanderbilt 69-66.
