Dandy Don Meredith, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback (1960-68) who is best remembered for his two stints as the resident funnyman member of the Monday Night Football broadcast team, passed away on Sunday night at a Santa Fe, New Mexico hospital at age 72.
Dandy Don had been battling emphysema and had suffered a minor stroke in 2004.
