Mike Connors, TV's "Joe Mannix," R.I.P.
Mike Connors, the actor best remembered for his portrayal of a maverick private eye in the CBS Network series Mannix, passed away on Thursday at a Los Angeles hospital at age 91.
Mike Condon, Mr. Connors' son-in-law said that his passing was caused by complications from leukemia only a week after he had been diagnosed.

Farewell, Mary
Mary Tyler Moore, the actress, whom, prior to 1970, was already best known for her role as a TV comedy show's head writer's wife on The Dick Van Dyke Show (CBS, 1961-66), but who would best be remembered for starring in the ground-breaking CBS Network sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-77) ,in which she played a single woman who was an associate producer, then producer, at a fictitious Minneapolis TV station's news department, passed away on Wednesday, a month after her 80th birthday.
According to her family, Miss Moore's passing at a Greenwich, Connecticut hospital was caused by cardiopulmonary arrest after she had contracted pneumonia.

In a contest that was rescheduled from earlier this month due to a winter storm in the Rose City, Zach Collins scored 13 points on Monday as the Gonzaga Bulldogs (20-0 overall, 8-0 in WCC) remained Division I's only remaining undefeated men's college basketball team after handing the homestanding Portland Pilots (9-11, 2-6) their sixth successive defeat, 83-64, thanks to a healthy dose of balanced scoring, with four Bulldogs scoring in double digits.
