Following their easy Saturday home victory over Portland State, the Oregon Ducks climbed up three spots to #20 in the Associated Press college football poll and made their first appearance in the USA Today/Coaches rankings at #23.

Ducks On Cusp Of Coaches Poll While Climbing Up A Spot In AP Rankings

The Oregon Ducks, following their season-opening thumping of Bowling Green, find themselves up one spot from the pre-season ranking in Tuesday's Associated Press college football poll, moving up to #23. The Ducks are just on the outside of the USA Today/Coaches rankings, finding themselves in 26th place, just two points behind 25th-ranked Florida.

Ducks Make AP, Coaches Pre-Season Gridiron Polls

The Oregon Ducks were ranked #24 in the Associated Press pre-season college football poll that was released this past Sunday.

The Ducks were ranked at #22 in the USA Today/Coaches poll that was released back on August 4.

Coming off a disastrous 2015 campaign that saw them lose all nine conference games, there was no support in either poll for the Oregon State Beavers.

Ducks Fall Out Of AP Poll Following Utah Debacle; Hang On In Coaches Poll

In the wake of Saturday's blowout home defeat to Utah, the Oregon Ducks, who had been ranked #13 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls, fell out of the AP poll altogether (their remaining support would have the Ducks ranked #27) , and wound up tied for #24 with California in the Coaches' rankings.

As has been the case all season, and of course, dropping their Friday home game to Stanford wouldn't have helped their case whatsoever, there was no support in either poll for the Oregon State Beavers.

After their Saturday conference-opening scare at Washington State, the Oregon Ducks remained ranked #2 in the Associated Press (media) poll, with eleven first-place votes (trailing only Florida State) while dropping a spot to #4 in the USA Today/Coaches' poll (behind the Seminoles, Alabama, and Oklahoma, who switched places with the Ducks) with three first-place votes.

The Oregon State Beavers, following their dominating home performance against San Diego State, regained support in the AP poll (where they would be tied at #39 with Missouri) while gaining support in the Coaches' poll (where they would be ranked #34).

Following their 48-18 home beat-down of Wyoming, the Oregon Ducks remained ranked second in the Associated Press (media) poll (trailing only Florida State) with 17 first-place votes.

The Ducks climbed up a spot (past Oklahoma) into third place in the USA Today/Coaches poll (trailing only the Seminoles and Alabama) with six first-place votes.

The Oregon State Beavers, who were off this weekend, still received some support in the Coaches' rankings.  They would be tied with Louisville for 40th place.
