Time For Boston Blackie, Gang!

From May, 1952, here's an episode from the old syndicated "Boston Blackie" television series starring Kent Taylor in the title role, entiled "So Was Goliath."  Lois Collier co-starred as Blackie's romantic interest Mary along with Frank Orth as the bumbling police Inspector John Faraday.

Time For Good Ole Country Music!

Here is a kinescope of the April 28, 1956 ABC Network telecast of the Grand Ole Opry, which aired once a month in the Ozark Jubilee time slot.  Carl Smith hosted this telecast, which included Buddy Ebsen, Chet Atkins, the Collins Kids, the Jordanaires, June Carter, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, and Minnie Pearl, amongst others.

The Three Stooges Join Ed Wynn

It's time for an episode of The Ed Wynn Show.  Ed's guests are The Three Stooges (Shemp Howard, Larry Fine, and Shemp's brother, Moe Howard), singer Helen Forrest, with a cameo by TV's future Fred Mertz himself, William Frawley.  





The show originally aired live on CBS Television on March 11, 1950 and aired on the West Coast.  Eastern and Central Time Zone viewers saw a kinescope of the telecast on March 25 of that year.  The episode is complete with commercials for Camel Cigarettes.
