Grey Cup Playoffs: Edmonton, British Columbia Advance To Divisional Finals

Both divisional semifinal playoff games took place on Sunday as the Canadian Football League's Grey Cup Playoffs commenced.

EASTERN DIVISION:

At Hamilton, Ontario:

John White carried the ball 19 times for 165 yards while Sean White kicked three field goals, the game winner from nine yards out with 10 seconds remaining as the Edmonton Eskimos defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 24-21 on the road in the Eastern Division semifinal playoff.  The Eskimos will take on the Ottawa REDBLACKS on the road in the Canadian capital in next Sunday's Eastern Division final.



WESTERN DIVISION:

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Quarterback Jonathan Jennings ran nine yards for the game-winning touchdowns as the British Columbia Lions came back from a 16-point deficit to upend the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers 32-31 in the Western Division semifinal playoff.  Next Sunday, the Lions will travel to Calgary to face the Stampeders in the Western Division final.
