Stanley Cup Playoffs: Bruins Top Rangers In OT In Series Opener; Kings Blow Two-Goal Lead, Come Back To Take 2-0 Series Lead Over Sharks

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Thursday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Boston:

Torey Krug's power-play goal in the third period squared things, then Brad Marchand's first goal of the postseason at 15:40 of the first overtime period lifted the Boston Bruins to a conference-semifinal-series-opening 4-3 home victory over the New York Rangers.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Los Angeles:

Power-play goals from Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis, 22 seconds apart with less than two minutes remaining in regulation time helped the Los Angeles Kings recover from blowing a two-goal lead then falling behind 3-2 and post a stunning 4-3 game-two home win over the San Jose Sharks.  The Kings, who have now won six consecutive contests,  scored three of their four goals on the power play (Drew Doughty scoring one in the second period) and now lead their conference semifinal series two games to none.
