Timbers Knock Off CityZens In The Bronx

At New York:

Sebastian Blanco came through with his 14th-minute goal on Sunday as the Portland Timbers knocked off New York City 1-0 in a Major League Soccer match on the road, ending the hosts' club-record 12-match unbeaten streak.

Goalkeeper Steve Clark made five saves to preserve his third shutout of the season.

Next up for the Timbers, a US Open Cup road quarterfinal contest against the Los Angeles Football Club on Wednesday at 7:30 PM Pacific Time; Portland's next MLS match will be at home on Saturday at 8:00 PM Pacific Time against the Colorado Rapids which will be telecast on the Timbers' TV Network via KPDX-TV, Portland-Vancouver (both games will be streamed live on ESPN+).
