Stanley Cup Playoffs: Caps, Jets Take 2-1 Series Leads

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Tuesday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Pittsburgh:

Alex Ovechkin scored the winning goal with 67 seconds remaining in regulation as the Washington Capitals defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 on the road in game three of their conference semifinal series, which they now lead two games to one.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Winnipeg, Manitoba:

Dustin Byfuglien and Blake Wheeler each scored twice (the latter scoring once on the power play and once on an empty netter) as the Winnipeg Jets battled back from a three-goal deficit to overpower the visiting Nashville Predators 7-4 in the third game of their conference semifinal series, which the Jets now lead two games to one.
