Stanley Cup Playoffs: Caps Knock Off Penguins In OT In Pittsburgh As Washington Cuts Series Deficit To 2-1; Sid The Kid Injured

At Washington:

Kevin Shattenkird scored the game-winning power-play goal at 3:13 of overtime as the Washington Capitals defeated the Pittsburgh 3-2 on the road in the lone Monday Stanley Cup Playoff contest.

The Penguins, who still lead their Eastern Conference semifinal series at two games to one, suffered what may prove to be a major blow to their title defense as team captain Sidney Crosby was cross-checked to the head by the Caps' Matt Niskanen with just over five minutes remaining in regulation and did not return.
