NBA Playoffs: Celtics Stretch Series Advantage Over Wizards To 2-0; Warriors Take Series Opener From Jazz

The NBA Playoffs continued on Tuesday with two games.

At Boston:

Isaiah Thomas scored 53 points---nine of them in overtime---as the Boston Celtics stretched their conference semifinal series advantage over the Washington Wizards to two games to none after their 129-119 home win in game two.  Mr. Thomas' point total was a career-playoff best and only one point short of John Havlacek's club-record (set in 1973) for most points in a playoff game.

John Wall paced the Wizards with 40 points while dishing out 13 assists.

At Oakland, California:

Stephen Curry scored 22 points as the Golden State Warriors took the opening contest of their conference semifinal series with the Utah Jazz 106-94 at home.
