Ducks Bounce Back, Smother Panthers At Home

At Eugene, Oregon:

The Oregon Ducks (2-1; #12 in the Associated Press poll, #13 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings) bounced back on Saturday and dominated the visiting Georgia State Panthers (1-2) 61-28 in their final non-conference game of the season.  Jeff Lockie, playing in place of injured quarterback Vernon Adams, Jr., completed 23 of 31 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns as the Ducks regained their winning form following their defeat last Saturday at Michigan State.  Royce Freeman carried the ball ten times for 101 yards and a TD.
