At Laurel Park, Laurel, Maryland: 

In Saturday's 151st running of the Preakness Stakes (taking place at Laurel Park due to ongoing construction at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course), Napoleon Solo, with jockey Paco Lopez aboard, and with Chad Summers (making his Triple Crown debut) as trainer, won the race, with Iron Honor second, and Chip Honcho third.  

Golden Tempo, who won the Kentucky Derby, passed on this one.

The Belmont Stake will take place on Saturday, June 6 at Saratoga Race Trace (Belmont Park still undergoing construction).

145th Preakness Stakes: Upset Win For Swiss Skydiver Who Becomes First Filly To Win Race Since 2006

 At Baltimore:

Swiss Skydiver, with jockey Robby Albarado aboard, held off Kentucky Derby winner Authentic on Saturday to win the 145th edition of the Preakness Stakes, becoming the first filly to win this jewel of the Triple Crown since Rachel Alexandra did the trick in 2006 and only the second since 1924.

Trainer Kenneth McPeek won his first Preakness.

Jesus' Team finished third.

146th Kentucky Derby: Twasnt Tis The Law's Day As Authentic Holds Off Belmont Stakes Winner To Capture Run For The Roses

 At Louisville, Kentucky:

Authentic, with jockey John Valazquez aboard, and trained by Bob Baffert, held off Belmont Stakes winner Tis The Law and won Saturday's 146th edition of the Kentucky Derby.

Mr. Big News finished third.

The postponed Preakness Stakes will be run on Saturday, October 3.

'Tiz The Law Captures Rescheduled Belmont Stakes

At Elmont, New York:

In Saturday's rescheduled running of the 152nd running of the Belmont Stakes, Tiz The Law, with jockey Manny Franco aboard and trained by Barclay Tagg, came out on top as the Triple Crown Series started later than scheduled due to COVID-19.

The race was originally scheduled to cap off the Triple Crown Series on June 6.

The Kentucky Derby, originally scheduled for May 2, will be run on September 5 and the Belmont Stakes (originally set for May 16) will be run on October 3.

Tiz The Law became the first New York-bred horse to win the Belmont since Forester in 1882.

Dr. Post finished second and Max Player third.

151st Belmont Stakes: Sir Winston Comes Out On Top

At Elmont, New York:

Sir Winston, a 12-1 shot with jockey Joel Rosario aboard, won Saturday's 151st running of the Belmont Stakes.  Tacitus finished second and Joevia third.

The horse was trained by Mark E. Casse, who also trained War of Will (the Preakness Derby winner, fouled in the Kentucky Derby by the disqualified winner Maximum Security, finished ninth).

144th Preakness Stakes

At Baltimore:

War of Will, with Tyler Gaffalione aboard, won Saturday's 144th running of the Preakness Stakes, with Everfast finishing second and Owendale third.

Like the jockey, War of Will's trainer Mark E. Casse won his first Triple Crown race.

Yes, War of Will was the horse that was fouled late in the recent Kentucky Derby, which resulted in Maximum Security, who finished first, being disqualified.

An interesting sidemark, Bodexpress, who threw his jockey John Valazquez at the start of the race, ran clear around the track.

Neither the jockeyless horse or jockey was injured.

145th Kentucky Derby: 65-1 Longshot Country House Declared Winner After Maximum Security Was DQed Due To Fowl

At Louisville, Kentucky:

Country House, a 65-1 longshot with jockey Flavien Prat aboard, was declared the winner of Saturday's 145th running of The Kentucky Derby after Maximum Security, who finished first, was disqualified for committing a foul during the homestretch.

This was the first time that a Kentucky Derby winner was disqualified for a foul; Dancer's Image, who won the 1968 Derby, was disqualified for testing positive for a banned substance.

Code of Honor was awarded second place and Tacitus was awarded third.

JUSTIFY LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE IN WINNING 150TH BELMONT STAKES AND TRIPLE CROWN (BECOMING THE 13TH HORSE TO DO SO)

At Elmont, New York:
Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner Justify (shown here) led wire-to-wire and won Saturday's 150th running of the Belmont Stakes and became the 13th horse to win the coveted Triple Crown.

Gronkowski finished second and Hofburg finished third.

Mike Smith, at age 52, became the oldest jockey to win the Triple Crown.

Trainer Bob Baffert won his second Triple Crown (to go with American Pharoah's 2015 triumph), becoming the second trainer to do so.

Justify became the second horse to go undefeated en route to the Triple Crown title (Seattle Slew, 1977).

143rd Preakness Stakes: Justify Survives Duel With Good Magic And Late Comeback From Other Horses To Keep Triple Crown Hopes Alive

At Baltimore:

On a muddy track and in foggy conditions at Pimlico Race Course, Kentucky Derby winner Justify, with jockey Mike Smith aboard, battled tooth and nail with Good Magic (who ultimately finished fourth) for much of the race until the home stretch, then held off hard-charging Bravazo by a half-length to win Saturday's 143rd running of the Preakness Stakes.

Tenfold finished third.

It was a record-tying seventh Preakness victory for Justify's trainer Bob Baffert.

Justify will try on June 9 to become the 13th horse to win the Triple Crown (the first since American Pharoah in 2015) by winning the Belmont States at Elmont, New York.

144th Kentucky Derby: Justify Tops Field On Rainy Saturday

At Louisville, Kentucky:

On a rainy Saturday, on a wet, muddy track at Churchill Downs, Justify, with jockey Mike Smith aboard, won the 144th edition of the Kentucky Derby, becoming the first horse since Apollo in 1882 to win the Run for the Roses without having raced as a two year-old.

Trainer Bob Baffert won his fifth Derby.

Good Magic was second and Audible finished third.

149th Belmont Stakes: Tapwrit Overtakes Irish War Cry To Capture Triple Crown Finale

At Elmont, New York:

Tapwrit, with jockey Jose Ortiz aboard, overcame morning-line favorite Irish War Cry on Saturday to capture the 149th edition of the Belmont Stakes, the final jewel in horse racing's Triple Crown.

It was Mr. Ortiz's first victory in a Triple Crown race while for trainer Todd Pletcher, his was his third Belmont Stakes triumph.

The aforementioned Irish Was Cry finished second while Patch finished third.

142nd Preakness Stakes: Cloud Computing Nips Out Classic Empire While Derby Winner Always Dreaming Fades Down The Stretch, Ending Possibility Of Triple-Crown Winner

At Baltimore:

In Saturday's 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes, Cloud Computing, with jockey Javier Castellano aboard, nosed out Classic Empire to win the second jewel of horse racing's Triple Crown.

Senior Investment, a 30-1 morning line longshot, finished third.

Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming, who was dueling with Classic Empire for much of the race, faded down the stretch to finish eighth out of ten horses, thus making sure there would be no Triple Crown winner this year.

For Mr. Castellano, it was his second Preakness win while Cloud Computing's trainer Chad Brown won his first Triple Crown race.

143rd Kentucky Derby: Dreamy Win For Always Dreaming

At Louisville, Kentucky:

In Saturday's 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby, Always Dreaming, a 9-2 co-favorite with John Velazquez aboard, finished ahead of 19 other horses to win the Run for the Roses on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs.  For both Mr. Velazquez and trainer Todd Pletcher, it was each his second Derby victory.

Lookin At Lee finished second with Battle of Midway third.

Always Dreaming is expected to run in the Preakness Stakes, to be run Saturday after next at Pimlico, near Baltimore.

148th Belmont Stakes: It's Creator By A Nose

At Elmont, New York:

In Saturday's 148th running of the Belmont Stakes, Creator, with jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard, literally nosed out Destin to win the third and final jewel of horse racing's Triple  Crown.  Lani, the Japanese horse, finished third.

Exaggerator, who won the Preakness Stakes three weeks ago, after finishing second in the Kentucky Derby, finished 11th.

141st Preakness Stakes: Exaggerator Storms Back, Hands Nyquist First Defeat

At Baltimore:

Exaggerator, with jockey Kent Desormeaux aboard (and trained by Kent's brother Keith), came from behind on Saturday to overtake Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist and win the 141st edition of the Preakness Stakes, contested at Pimlico Race Track.  Cherry Wine finished second and Nyquist, who suffered his first defeat in nine career starts, finished third.

Nyquist Wins Kentucky Derby To Stay Unbeaten

At Louisville, Kentucky:

Nyquist, with jockey Mario Gutierrez aboard, won Saturday's 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby to remain unbeaten in eight career starts.  Exaggerator finished second and Gun Runner finished third.

AMERICAN PHAROAH GOES OUT A WINNER IN WINNING BREEDERS CUP CLASSIC

At Lexington, Kentucky:

In his final race, Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, with Jockey Victor Espinoza aboard, led wire-to-wire on Saturday in winning the Breeders' Cup Classic.

Effinex, a 33-1 shot finished second and Honor Code finished third.

This was the first time that a Triple Crown winner had ever run in a Breeders' Cup race.

AT LAST: AMERICAN PHAROAH LEADS WIRE-TO-WIRE, WINS BELMONT, ENDS 37-YEAR TRIPLE CROWN DROUGHT

At Elmont, New York:

American Pharoah led wire-to-wire on Saturday in winning the 147th running of the Belmont Stakes and became the 12th horse to win the Triple Crown---the first since Affirmed in 1978.

Trainer Bob Baffert won his first Triple Crown on his fourth try and jockey Victor Espinoza did so on his third.

Frosted finished second, 5 1/2 lengths behind, and Keen Ice finished third.

140th Preakness Stakes: American Pharoah Wins On Sloppy Track; 3rd Horse To Win Derby And Preakness In Four Years

At Baltimore:

In Saturday's 140th edition of the Preakness Stakes, American Pharoah, with jockey Victor Espinoza aboard, won the race on a rain-soaked muddy track with Tale of Verve finishing second, seven lengths in back, and Divining Rod finishing third.  American Pharoah became the third horse in four years to win both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, and the fourteenth since Affirmed became the most recent Triple Crown winner in 1978.

American Pharoah, with trainer Bob Baffert, will look to end the Triple Crown-winning drought in the Belmont Stakes, scheduled for June 6 at Elmont, New York. 

141st Kentucky Derby: Comeback Win For American Pharoah

At Louisville, Kentucky:

In front of a record 170, 513 spectators, American Pharoah, with Victor Espinoza aboard,  came from behind to win Saturday's 141st running of the Kentucky Derby, just beating out Firing Line, who finished second, and Dortmund, who finished third.

Trainer Bob Baffert won his fourth Run For The Roses while Mr. Espinoza won his third Derby.
