CFP Rankings: Top Four Stay The Same

 Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson, and Ohio State remained in their respective top-four positions in the next-to-last College Football Playoff Rankings released on Tuesday.

Southern California (up two spots to #15) and Colorado (#25) are the only Pac-12 schools in this week's rankings.

LSU, Buckeyes, Clemson, Sooners Finish In CFP Top Four And Will Take Part In Playoff; Ducks (Who Finish At #6) To Face Badgers In Rose Bowl

In the final College Football Playoff rankings that came out on Sunday, LSU jumped Ohio State to finish as the Playoff's top seeded team.

Clemson, at #3, and Oklahoma, at #4, will round out the CFP field.

Georgia finished at #5 while the Oregon Ducks were the highest-ranked Pac-12 team at #6.

Utah, who lost the Pac-12 title game to Oregon, fell six spots to #11.

The other Pac-12 team to make the final rankings, Southern California, stayed at #22.

The Ducks will face Wisconsin (who finished at #8) in the Rose Bowl Game on Wednesday, January 1, at Pasadena, California (2:00 PM Pacific Time, ESPN)

Final Regular-Season CFP Rankings: Top Four Remains Same; Utes Inch Up To #5, Ducks Up A Spot To #13

In the final regular-season College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, and Georgia stayed in their respective top-four positions.

Meanwhile, Utah climbed up a spot to #5.

The Oregon Ducks moved up a spot to #13 while Southern California came in at #22.

After their Saturday Iron-Bowl defeat at Auburn, Alabama fell seven spots to #12.

Buckeyes Jump Bayou Benglas To Seize Top Spot In CFP Rankings; Clemson, Geogria Stay In Top Four; Ducks Fall Eight Spots

Ohio State moved past Louisiana State to take over top spot in the College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night.

Clemson and Georgia remained in the third and fourth spots respectively.

Alabama stayed at the #5 spot.

Utah replaced Oregon as the top Pac-12 team in the rankings, moving a spot up to #6 while the Ducks fell eight spots to #14 after getting knocked off at Arizona State this past Saturday.

The other Pac-12 team in the rankings, Southern California, inched up a spot to #22.

CFP Rankings; LSU, Buckeyes, Clemson, Dawgs Stay In Top Four; Ducks Remain At #6

Louisiana State, Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia remain in the top four in the College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night.

Alabama remained at #5.

Three Pac-12 schools are in this week's rankings.

Oregon and Utah stayed put at #6 and #7 respectively.

Southern California entered the rankings for the first time this season at #23.

LSU Jumps Buckeyes For Top Spot In CFP Rankings; Clemson, Georgia Enter Top Four; Ducks Climb A Spot To #6

In the College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night, the LSU Tigers swapped spots with Ohio State and thus supplanted the Buckeyes as the #1 team.

Clemson and Georgia each climbed two spots from last week to #3 and #4 respectively.

After their home defeat to the Bayou Bengals, Alabama fell three spots to #5.

The Oregon Ducks, who were idle, still climbed a spot to #6.

The Utah Runnin' Utes also climbed a spot to #7.

The Ducks and Utes were, as was the case last week, the only Pac-12 teams to make the CFP rankings.

Buckeyes Top Opening CFP Rankings With LSU, 'Bama, Penn State Rounding Out Top Four; Ducks Rank #7

In the first College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, the Ohio State Buckeyes came out on top, followed by Louisiana State, Alabama, and Penn State.

Defending champions Clemson were ranked fifth, followed by Georgia.

The Oregon Ducks, at #7, and the Utah Runnin' Utes, at #8, were the only Pac-12 Conference teams to make the rankings.

Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma secured the four spots in the College Football Playoff after the season's final look at the CFP rankings released on Sunday.

Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Central Florida, Washington (as the highest ranked Pac-12 team) and Florida rounded out the top ten.

Washington State (at #13) and Utah (#17) were the other Pac-12 schools in the rankings.

CFP Rankings: Georgia Climbs To Fourth Place While 'Bama, Clemson, Notre Dame Remain #1, 2, 3

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, Alabama, Clemson, and Notre Dame remained in the top three spots while Georgia climbed up a spot to #4, replacing Michigan, who lost Saturday to Ohio State and fell three spots to #7.

Oklahoma climbed up a spot to #5 while the Buckeyes climbed up four places to #6.

Central Florida climbed up a place to #8.

Washington, after their Apple Cup road win over Washington State, became the highest-ranked Pac-12 team at #11 (up five spots from last week while the Cougars fell five spots to #13).

Utah remained at #17 as the only other Pac-12 team in the rankings.

CFP Rankings: Still The Same Quartet In The Same Places; Cougs Still At #8

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan maintained the same positions that they occupied last week.

Georgia, Oklahoma, and LSU are still ranked fifth through seventh.

The Washington State Cougars stayed at #8 and remained the highest-ranked Pac-12 team.

Other Pac-12 schools: Washington @ #16 (up two spots from last week) and Utah @ #17 (up two).

CFP Rankings: Bama, Clemson, Notre Dame Are Joined By Michigan In Top Four; Cougars Still Ranked Eighth

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers still ranked first and second in the latest College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night.

Notre Dame climbed up a spot to third place while the Michigan Wolverines inched up a spot to the number four slot.

Georgia and Oklahoma (each climbing up one spot) are in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively.

Washington State remained in eighth place as the highest ranked Pac-12 team, one spot behind LSU, who fell from third place after being blanked at home on Saturday night by the Crimson Tide.

The Cougs' cross-state rival, the Washington Huskies, are the Pac-12's only other ranked team, at #25.

CFP Rankings: 'Bama Starts Out On Top

In the season's opening College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday, the Alabama Crimson Tide is ranked at the top of the heap, followed by Clemson, LSU, and Notre Dame.

Michigan and Georgia fill out the #5 and #6 slots.

Washington State is the highest-ranked Pac-12 team at #8, with Utah at #15.

Clemson, Sooners, Dawgs, 'Bama Reach College Football Playoff; Buckeyes Miss Out

In the final College Football Playoff rankings released on Sunday, the Clemson Tigers maintained their position at the top, with the Oklahoma Sooners (up one spot from last week), Georgia Bulldogs (up three) , and Alabama Crimson Tide (up one) all qualifying for the tournament to see who will win the Football Bowl Division's national championship.

Despite holding off Wisconsin for the Big Ten Conference title, the Ohio State Buckeyes settled for fifth place (up three spots) and will miss out on the playoffs.

Southern California climbed up two spots to finish in eighth place, highest ranking for a Pac-12 Conference school.

CFP Rankings: Bama Falls To Fifth Place as Clemson Moves Into Top Spot With Auburn, Oklahoma, Wisconsin Rounding Out Top Four

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night, the Clemson Tigers climbed up two spot to take over the number one spot, with Auburn, after knocking off Alabama (who fell four spots to fifth place), having moved up four places to number two.  Oklahoma and Wisconsin, having moved up one spot each, took over third and fourth places respectively.

Southern California, the highest ranked Pac-12 Conference school, moved up one spot from last week to #10.

Other Pac-12 teams in the rankings:

Stanford moved up nine spots to #12.

Washington moved up four spots to #13.

Washington State moved down five spots to #18.

CFP Rankings: Bama Stays On Top while Canes Jump Clemson To Move To #2; Oklahoma Stays At #4 With Wisconsin In Fifth

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings that were released on Tuesday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide remained at the top of the heap while the Miami Hurricanes moved into second place, ahead of the Clemson Tigers.  The Oklahoma Sooners remained in fourth place.

Wisconsin and Auburn stayed in fifth and sixth place, respectively.

Southern California remained in 11th place as the highest ranked Pac-12 Conference school.

Other Pac-12 teams in the rankings:

Washington State at #13, up one spot from last week.

Washington moved up a spot to #17.

Stanford also moved up a spot, to #21.

 

Bama Moves To Top Of CFP Rankings With Clemson, 'Canes, Sooners Rounding Out Top Four; Badgers At #5

In the latest College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night, the Alabama Crimson Tide moved up one spot to the number one position, followed by the Clemson Tigers at #2 (up two spots from last wekk), the Miami Hurricanes (up four spots), then the Oklahoma Sooners (up one spot).

The Wisconsin Badgers moved up three spots to number five.

The Auburn Tigers, who manhandled Georgia (who fell six spots to #7), currently sit at #6 (up four spots).

Southern California at #11 (same as last week), Washington State at #14 (up five spots), Washington at #9 (down nine spots), and Stanford at #22 (unranked last week).

In the season's first College Football Playoff Rankings released on Tuesday night, the Georgia Bulldogs are sitting at number one, followed by Alabama, Notre Dame, and Clemson.

Oklahoma is ranked fifth.

Pac-12 schools that made the rankings:  Washington (#12), Southern California (#17), Stanford (#21), Arizona (#22), and Washington State (#25).

CFP Rankings: 'Bama Stays On Top, With Buckeyes, Clemson, UW Also In Top Four

In the final College Football Playoff regular-season rankings that were released on Tuesday, Alabama remained in the #1 slot, with Ohio State remaining at #2.  Clemson climbed up to third (up one spot from last week) and Washington re-joined the top four at the number four slot (up one).

With their defeat at the hands of Ohio State, Michigan dropped to number five (down two spots).

Wisconsin and Penn State remained at #6 and #7, respectively.

Other Pac-12 teams in the rankings include Colorado at #8 (up one spot), Southern California at #11 (up one), and Utah at #20 (up two).

Washington State, which was ranked last week at #23, dropped out of the rankings after their Friday one-sided Apple Cup defeat at home at the hands of Washington.
