MLB Playoffs (National League Championship Series) Dodgers Overcome Braves To Capture NL Pennant And World Series Berth

 At Globe Life Field, Arlington, Texas:

Enrique Hernandez and Cody Bellinger each hit a home run on Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers came from behind to upend the Atlanta Braves 4-3 in the seventh and deciding game of the National League Championship Series, enabling the Dodgers to overcome a three-games-to-one series deficit and win their third National League pennant in four years, four games to three.

The Dodgers will take on the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, set to open on Tuesday at 5:29 PM Pacific Time (FOX).

Back-to-back home runs, produced on Saturday through the courtesy of Corey Seager and Justin Turner, propelled the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves in game six of the National League Championship Series, now deadlocked at three games apiece.

The series, and the Senior Circuit's World Series berth, is set to be decided on Sunday at 5:15 PM Pacific Time (FOX).

Corey Seager hit two home runs as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 7-3 in game five of the National League Championship Series, cutting the Braves' series lead to three games to two.

The Dodgers' Will Smith hit a three-run homer off his Atlanta Braves' namesake.

The Braves can still wrap up their first pennant and World Series berth since 1999 with a game-six victory on Saturday (1:38 PM PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports One).

In a four-for-five performance on Thursday, Marcell Ozuna hit two homers and drove in four runs as the Atlanta Braves scalped the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-2 in game four of the National League Championship Series.

Bryce Wilson pitched six solid innings for the Braves.

Atlanta, up three games to one, can lock up their first National League pennant and World Series berth since 1999 with a game five victory on Friday (6:08 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports 1)

Max Muncy smacked a grand-slam homer while Joc Pederson added a three-run round-tripper and Edwin Rios delivered a solo shot as the Los Angeles Dodgers set a postseason single-inning scoring record with 11 runs in the opening inning as they delivered a frontier-styled 15-3 fist-beating to the Atlanta Braves in Wednesday's third game of the National League Championship Series, which the Braves still lead two games to one.

Madison Bumgarner pitched six strong innings, while Cody Ross belted a home run in the sixth inning and drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Atlanta Braves in come-from-behind fashion again on Monday by the scored of 3-2 to win their National League divisional playoff series, advancing to the league championship round for the first time in eight years.  The Giants will take on the Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia for the opening game this coming Saturday.  The loss drew to a climax Bobby Cox's 25-year managerial stint with the Braves, where he won five National League pennants and one World Series crown.  He retires as the fourth winningest manager in Major League history with 2,504 in 29 years.

The San Francisco Giants scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on Monday night to win their National League divisional playoff series three games to one.  Rookie Madison Bumgarner pitched six strong innings and Cody Ross hit a home run in the sixth inning and drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the seventh as the Giants advanced to the National League championship series for the first time since 2002.  They'll face off against the Philadelphia Phillies in the series which is slated to start this coming Saturday in Philadelphia.  The loss marks the end of Bobby Cox's 25-year managerial career with the Braves, where he won five pennants and one World Series title.

The San Francisco Giants rallied for two runs with two outs in the top of the ninth inning as they defeated the Atlanta Braves 3-2 on the road in game three of their National League divisional playoff series on Sunday to take a two-games-to-one lead.  In the Giants' two-run ninth, Buster Posey's grounder skidded under the glove of second baseman Brooks Conrad, who committed his third error of the game, allowing Andres Torres to score the winning run from second base.

The Atlanta Braves, thanks to Rick Ankiel's tiebreaking home run in the 11th inning, overcame a four-run deficit Friday night to top the San Francisco Giants 5-4 in 11 innings to even their National League divisional playoff series at one game apiece.

Tim Lincecum pitched a brilliant two-hit, 14-strikeout (a club single-game postseason record) shutout in his playoff debut as the San Francisco Giants blanked the visiting Atlanta Braves 1-0 Thursday in the opening game of their National League divisional playoff series. Cody Ross singled in Buster Posey from second base in the fourth inning for the game's lone run.
