David Price pitched seven innings of solid one-run baseball while Steve Pearce (named series Most Valuable Player) hit two home runs on Sunday as the Boston Red Sox won their fourth World Series title since 2004 (and their ninth overall) by defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 on the road in game five of the Fall Classic.

Steve Pearce hit a game-tying home run (shown here) in the eighth inning and a three-run double in the ninth as the Boston Red Sox erased a four-run deficit after six innings on Saturday by scoring nine runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth frames in defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-6 in game four of the 2018 World Series.
The Red Sox, now leading the series three games to one, could close out the series with a game-five victory in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Max Muncy's home run in the 18th inning on Saturday morning ended Major League Baseball's longest postseason game (which lasted seven hours and 20 minutes) as the Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the visiting Boston Red Sox 3-2 to cut their series deficit to two games to one.
That's Max, celebrating with teammate Cody Bellinger after hit the round tripper that kept the Dodgers in the series.
The Dodgers' Walter Buehler pitched seven innings of shutout baseball to keep Los Angeles in the game.

David Price pitched six innings of three-hit ball while J. D. Martinez hit a sixth-inning two-out go-ahead single on Wednesday as the Boston Red Sox stretched their World Series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers to two games to none after their 4-2 game-two home victory.
