Andrew Rowney scored 22 of his 29 points in the first half as the second-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (21-13) held off the third-seeded Oregon Ducks (23-13) 101-92 on Sunday in second-round action from the Notre Dame Bracket in the National Invitation Tournament.
MiKyle McIntosh paced the Ducks with 25 points.
The Eagles will host Penn State in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday, with the winner going to New York City and the semifinals.

NIT: Ducks Buck Broncs In Eugene; Get Harvard-Marquette Winner Next
At Eugene, Oregon:
Freshman Victor Bailey converted seven of eight three-point shots en route to a 23 point performance on Tuesday night as the Oregon Ducks (23-12) outlasted the visiting Rider Broncs (22-10) 99-86 in opening-round action in the National Invitation Tournament.
Payton Pritchard also scored 23 points for the Ducks, who were seeded third in the Notre Dame Bracket.
Dimencio Vaughn paced the sixth-seeded Broncs with 25 points.
Next up for Oregon: A second-round encounter with the winner of Wednesday's Harvard-Marquette contest.

Oregon College Hoops: Ducks Set For NIT, Vikings For CTI; Beavers Season Over
The Oregon Ducks received and accepted their invitation to take part in the National Invitation Tournament.
The Ducks will be the #3 seed in what is called the Notre Dame Bracket and will open at home against the Rider Broncs on Tuesday at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (ESPN 3).
The Portland State Vikings received and accepted their invitation to take part in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. The Vikings will play in the second round of the tournament.
No invitation for the NIT or the College Basketball Invitational was extended to the Oregon State Beavers, who close their season at 16-16.
