Jonathan Toews scored twice in the first period---once on the power play---on Saturday night as the Chicago Blackhawks assured themselves of their third appearance in the Stanley Cup Final in the last six years by defeating the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on the road in the seventh and deciding game of the Western Conference Final.

Corey Crawford saved 35 of 38 Anaheim shots.

The Blackhawks will open the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday on the road in Tampa against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

At New York:

The Tampa Bay Lightning, with third-period goals from Alex Killorn and Ondrej Palat, and a shutout performance from goalie Ben Bishop, who saved all 22 shots, blanked the New York Rangers 2-0 on the road on Friday night and won the seventh and deciding game of the Eastern Conference Final.

The Lightning will play in their first Stanley Cup Final since 2004 (when they defeated the Calgary Flames four games to three) and will face the winner of the Chicago-Anaheim series (set to be decided on Saturday).

Andrew Shaw scored twice while Duncan Keith had three assists on Wednesday as the Chicago Blackhawks squared the Western Conference Final at three games apiece following their 5-2 game-six home victory over the Anaheim Ducks.

The series will be decided on Saturday night in Anaheim, California with the winner advancing to the Stanley Cup Final.

Derek Brassard delivered a hat trick while Henrik Lundqvist saved 36 of 39 shots on Tuesday as the New York Rangers shredded the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-3 on the road to square the Eastern Conference Final at three games apiece.

The series, and the Eastern Conference's berth in the Stanley Cup Final, will be decided in New York City on Thursday night, with the winner to face the Chicago-Anaheim winner in the final.

Matt Beleskey scored the winning goal 45 seconds into overtime on Monday as the Anaheim Ducks, who blew a two-goal lead in the final two minutes of regulation, defeated the visiting Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 to take a three-games-to-two Western Conference Final series lead as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.

The Ducks can lock up a berth in the Stanley Cup Final with a game-six victory on Wednesday in Chicago.

Valterri Filppula and Steven Stamkos (power play) each scored a second-half goal and Ben Bishop stopped all 26 shots on Sunday night as the Tampa Bay Lightning blanked the New York Rangers 2-0 on the road to take a three-games-to-two Eastern Conference Final series lead.

The Lightning can finish off the President-Trophy-winning Rangers with a game-six home victory in Tampa on Tuesday and clinch a berth in their first Stanley Cup Final since 2004 (when they defeated Calgary four games to three for the first Stanley Cup championship by a team from Florida).

Nikita Kucherov scored the winning goal at 3:33 of overtime on Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Lightning took a two-games-to-one Eastern Conference Final series lead over the New York Rangers following their 6-5 game-three home win as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Blackhawks Win Triple-Overtime Thriller; Tie Series With Ducks At 1-1

At Anaheim, California:

Marcus Kruger scored the winning goal at 16:12 of the third overtime period on Tuesday night as the Chicago Blackhawks won the longest game in franchise history, 3-2 on the road against the Anaheim Ducks and squared the Stanley Cup Playoffs' Western Conference final at one game apiece.  Andrew Shaw, who scored one of two first-period power-play goals for the 'Hawks, thought he scored the game winner in the second OT period.  The goal, however was disallowed because he deliberately head-butted the puck into the net, ala Cristiano Ronaldo. 

Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford saved 60 of 62 shots for the victory while his Anaheim counterpart Frederik Andersen saved 53 of 56 shots.

The game was also the longest in Ducks history and the first triple-overtime match ever staged in California.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Tyler Johnson's Hat Trick Helps Lightning Square East Final With Rangers At One Game Apiece

At New York:

Tyler Johnson delivered a hat trick on Monday as the Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the hosts New York Rangers 6-2 in the second game of the Eastern Conference final as that Stanley Cup Playoff series is now leveled at one game apiece.  The hat trick is the first in Tampa Bay's playoff history.  Alex Killorn added two goals and Steven Stamkost added one to the Lightning's coffers.

Dominic Moore scored the winning goal with 2:25 remaining in regulation while Henrik Lundqvist saved 23 of 24 shots as the New York Rangers defeated the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in the opening game of the Eastern Conference final as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Saturday.

Derek Stepan scored the winning goal at 11:24 of overtime as the New York Rangers defeated the visiting Washington Capitals 2-1 in the seventh and deciding game of their Eastern Conference semifinal series in the lone Wednesday night Stanley Cup Playoff contest as the second round concluded.  Henrik Lundqvist saved 35 of 36 shots for the victory.

The Rangers will next take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference final with the winner advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, with the opening game set for Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

As for the Capitals, this marked the fifth time that they had blown a three-games-to-one lead and lost a best-of-seven playoff series.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning Finally Finish Off Habs, Advance To East Final; Canada's Cup Drought Continues

At Tampa, Florida:

Nikita Kucherov had two goals (one an empty-netter) and an assist on Tuesday as the Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the visiting Montreal Canadiens 4-1 and won their Eastern Conference semifinal series four games to two.  Ben Bishop saved 18 of 19 shots as the Lightning advanced to the Eastern Conference final, in which they will face the winner of the New York Rangers-Washington Capitals series (which would be decided on Wednesday at New York).

With the Canadiens' defeat, it will now have been 21 straight seasons (not counting 2005, in which there was no postseason due to the lockout) without a Canadian club winning the Stanley Cup (the last time a team from north of the border won Lord Stanley's Cup was when the Habs defeated Los Angeles in five games in 1993).

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Washington:

Chris Kreider scored twice in the first period, with one of the goals scored on the power play, as the New York Rangers defeated the Washington Capitals 4-3 on the road and squared their conference semifinal series at three games apiece.

The series will conclude at New York on Wednesday night.

This is the fifth time that the Capitals will be playing a game seven after blowing a three-games-to-one series lead.  They lost on all four previous occasions.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

Corey Perry scored the game-and-series-winning goal at 2:26 of overtime as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the visiting Calgary Flames 3-2 and won their conference semifinal series four games to one.

The Ducks will take on the Chicago Blackhawks in their first conference final since 2007, the year they won the Stanley Cup.  Anaheim will have home-ice advantage in this upcoming series.

At Montreal:

In the lone Saturday Stanley Cup Playoff contest, Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau scored the winning goal with 4:07 remaining in regulation as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 to force a sixth game of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.  Carey Price saved 24 of 25 shots for the victory.

The Lightning, still leading three games to two, can close out the series with a home win in Tampa on Tuesday night.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: OT Goal Keeps Rangers Alive, Forces Game Six In Washington; Ducks Overcome Flames, Take 3-1 Series Lead

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Friday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At New York:

After Chris Kreider leveled the match with 1:41 seconds remaining in regulation, Ryan McDonagh delivered the game winner at 9:37 of overtime as the New York Rangers came from behind to upend the visiting Washington Capitals 2-1 and cut the Caps' conference-semifinal-series lead to three games to two.  Henrik Lundqvist saved 28 of 29 shots for New York while his Washington counterpart Braden Holtby saved 41 of 43 shots in the losing effort.

The Capitals can still finish off the Rangers with a game-six win back in Washington on Sunday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Calgary, Alberta:

Matt Beleskey scored the game-winning goal 71 seconds in to the third period as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2 in game four of their conference semifinal series.

The Ducks, who now lead three games to one, can finish off the Flames back home in Anaheim with a game-five victory on Sunday night and advance to the Western Conference final against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Two games were played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Tampa, Florida:

Max Pacioretty had a shorthanded goal and two assists while Carey Price stopped 22 of 24 shots as the Montreal Canadiens avoided elimination with their 6-2 road domination of the Tampa Bay Lightning, who still lead the conference semifinal series three games to one.  The Lightning can still finish off the Habs with a game-five win on Montreal ice this Saturday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Paul, Minnesota:

Brent Seabrook, Andrew Shaw (power play), Patrick Kane, and Marion Hossa (shorthanded, empty net) each scored a goal while Corey Crawford saved 34 of 37 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks held off the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on the road and completed a four-game sweep of their conference semifinal series and will take on the Calgary-Anaheim winner in the Western Conference final with a berth in the Stanley Cup Final up for grabs.
