Here's a magazine ad announcing the big changes with American Motors' Rambler American for 1961 as they changed the sheet metal, doing away with the 1952-55 look that was used in the 1958-60 models.
Included in the lineup for '61 were two and four-door sedans, two and four-door station wagons.
During the 1961 model year, a convertible was added.
The one shown is the four-door sedan.
The ad also mentions the V-8 Ambassador and Rambler Classic (which replaced the Rambler 6 and Rambler Rebel V-8).
