Brian Fernandez scored his first Major League Soccer goal in the 77th minute on Wednesday to lift the Portland Timbers to a 1-1 road draw with the Houston Dynamo.
Mauro Manotas scored for the Dynamo in the 40th minute.
The Timbers will conclude their season-opening 12-match road trip on Saturday, May 25 against the Philadelphia Union at 4:30 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest; ESPN+)
