Stanley Cup Playoffs: Blue Jackets, Islanders, Blues Stretch Series Leads To 2-0; Golden Knights Square Series With Sharks

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Friday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Tampa, Florida:

Cam Atkinson, Zach Werenski (power play), Matt Duchene (power play; he had three assists), Riley Nash, and Artemi Panariri each scored once as the Columbus Blue Jackets again knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 on the road in the second game of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Blue Jackets now lead two games to none.

At Uniondale, Long Island, New York:

Anthony Beauvillier, Jordan Eberle, and Josh Bailey (power play) each scored once while Robin Lehner stopped 32 of 33 shots as the New York Islanders extended their opening-round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins to two games on none after their 3-1 game-two home victory.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Winnipeg, Manitoba:

Ryan O'Reilly scored the winning goal in the third period as the St. Louis Blues outlasted the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 in game two of their first-round series as the Blues now take a two-games-to-none series lead back to Missouri.

At San Jose, California:

Shorthanded goals from Colin Miller and William Karlsson helped the Vegas Golden Knights level their series with the San Jose Sharks at a game apiece after their 5-3 game-two road triumph.
