In Wednesday Major League Soccer action, Joao Plata scored twice (PK-50', 80'), Kyle Beckerman (10') and Albert Rusnak (68') once apiece as Real Salt Lake dominated the Portland Timbers 4-1 on the road, snapping an eight-match winless run against Portland.
The Timbers were ultimately reduced to nine men after first Victor Arboleda (53'), then Fanendo Adi (55') were tossed out on red-card ejections as was RSL's Kyle Beckerman (55').
Jack Barmby delivered the Timbers' lone goal in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.
Portland will try to snap its' current six-game winless skid in Vancouver this coming Sunday against the Whitecaps (3:30 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports One).
