Timbers Knock Off Caps In Vancouver In Cascadia Cup Clash

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

In his first Major League Soccer start on Sunday, Jeremy Ebobisse had a hand in both goals, his first career MLS tally in the 14th minute, and, thanks to his boot-heel assist, Sebastian Blanco's game winner in the 49th as the still-shorthanded Portland Timbers snapped a six-match winless streak with a 2-1 Cascadia Cup road win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Andrew Jacobsen scored the Caps' lone goal at 45 minutes.

Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson made four saves to preserve the Timbers' victory.

Next up for Portland, a match this coming Saturday evening in Houston against the Dynamo (5:00 PM Pacific Time, ROOT Sports).
