June Foray, the longtime voice artist best remembered for her work as the voice of Rocky the Flying Squirrel as well as one of Rocky's (and Bullwinkle J. Moose's) nemeses, Natasha Fatale on what eventually became The Bullwinkle Show, passed away on Wednesday in Los Angeles at age 99.
Miss Foray began her 85-year career as a 12-year-old when she portrayed an elderly woman on a radio show back in 1929.
During the course of her long career, June performed on numerous radio shows in the 1930s and 1940s, then later did voice work in theatrical and television cartoons, ranging from Granny in the Warner Brothers' Sylvester and Tweety cartoons to Jokey Smurf on the 1980s Smurfs TV series that ran on NBC from 1981 to 1990.
