Javier Baez delivered a solo home run in the eighth inning while Jon Lester pitched eight shutout innings (retiring the last thirteen batters he faced) and have Aroldis Chapman shut the proverbial barn door in the ninth inning as the Chicago Cubs outdueled the visiting San Francisco Giants 1-0 in the opening contest of their divisional playoff series.
