Stanley Cup Playoffs: Penguins Eliminate Senators In OT; Sharks Also Advance ; Blackhawks Win OT Thriller To Take 3-2 Lead

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Saturday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Ottawa:


Pascal Dupuis scored the winning goal 9:56 into overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins erased a three-goal deficit as Matt Cooke scored twice in regulation time and Bill Guerin scored a power-play goal in the third period to defeat the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on the road in game six and win their conference quarterfinal series four games to two.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Chicago:

After sitting out a five-minute penalty, Marian Hossa scored the game winner at 4:07 of overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks came from behind and defeated the Nashville Predators 5-4 at home in game five and now lead their first-round playoff series three games to two.

At Denver:

Joe Paveski scored twice, and the San Jose Sharks scored four third-period goals (two of them empty-netters) to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 on the road in game six and win their first-round series four games to two.
