Timbers Explode In Second Half, Stretch Unbeaten Run To Franchise Record-Tying 15 Games

At Portland, Oregon:

In Saturday night Major League Soccer action, Diego Valeri (PK-58'), Dairon Asprilla (PK-84'), and David Guzman (88') each scored once in the second half as the Portland Timbers stretched their unbeaten streak to an MLS-era franchise record-tying 15 games after their 3-0 beatdown of the visiting Philadelphia Union.

Jeff Attinella made three saves en route to his sixth shutout of the season.

The Timbers will host the Vancouver Whitcaps in a Cascadia Cup clash this coming Saturday night at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest).
