Caps Snap Timbers Unbeaten Run In Rose City Cascadia Cup Clash

At Portland, Oregon:

Kei Kamara (14') and Cristian Techera (43') each scored once on Saturday as the Vancouver Whitecaps snapped the Portland Timbers' 15-game Major League Soccer unbeaten streak with a 2-1 Cascadia Cup road victory.

Diego Valeri converted a penalty kick in the 71st minute for the lone Timbers goal; an earlier PK try in the 40th minute by DV8 sailed wide left.

Portland will try to get back on the winning track on Wednesday as they make their first visit to Audi Field for a road match against DC United at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest; streamed live on ESPN+).
