Wow! A Stude V-8!

Here's a magazine ad for the 1951 Studebaker Commander.



That year, the South Bend, Indiana automaker became the first independent carmaker to offer an overhead valve V-8 engine, and it was available with the Commander and Land Cruiser.

Studebaker would remain the only independent to off a V-8 engine until 1955.
