From Gaumont-British Picture Corporation in 1935, we present "The 39 Steps," directed by Alfred Hitchcock. This picture, which stars Robert Donat and Madeleine Carroll, was based on John Buchan's adventure novel of the same name, is the story of a man who is running form the law, having been falsely accused of murder and ends up getting the support of a woman who initially didn't believe him. Lucie Mannheim, Godfrey Tearle, and Peggy Ashcroft were featured in the cast.
