Timbers Cough Up Stoppage-Time Equalizer, Cough Up Two Points, Settle For Home Draw With RSL

At Portland, Oregon:

Cole Grossman scored the equalier in second-half stoppage time (90'+3) as Real Salt Lake, who despite losing Yordany Alvarez to a red-card ejection, came from behind to gain a 3-3 Wednesday night Major League Soccer road draw with the Portland Timbers.  Nat Borchers (38') and Javier Morales (PK-43') provided the other goals from the visitors, while Rodney Wallace (24'), Diego Valeri (PK-57'), and Kalif Alhassan (86') provided the scoring for the Timbers, who will travel to Seattle for Sunday night's nationally-televised (7:00PM Pacific Time, ESPN2) Cascadia Cup clash with the Sounders and Clint Dempsey, who will make his Seattle home debut.
